Super pumped to share with you all my MOB beauty review and first impression. MOB beauty is a brand-new sustainable and clean beauty brand. They put the earth first and cater to pro makeup artists. I was so intrigued by their innovative packaging, that I just had to get my hands on their products.

Earth-first
MOB beauty is focused on an Earth-first approach to beauty. They are on a mission to reduce waste and single-use plastics in the makeup industry. They won’t even launch a product if they don’t have a sustainable packaging solution for it first.
All of their packaging is made from PET resin, which is the easiest material to recycle. All of their materials and packaging are at least 50% post-consumer recycled material, and they have a goal of reaching 100%.
Ethical practices
All of MOB Beauty’s formulations are sustainable, cruelty-free, and vegan. They are both leaping bunny and PETA certified. They make sure all of their ingredients are ethically sourced, including mica and palm oil.
They even go as far as practicing mindful practices in the lab. They stock their lab with eco-friendly, biodegradable, and recyclable supplies. MOB Beauty is also extra mindful when it comes to their use of water, energy, and materials in their lab.
Clean Formulations
MOB Beauty is dedicated to formulating clean products that are safe for your health. They ban a long list of questionable ingredients from their formulas, and follow some of the strictest cosmetic safety standards in the world. They test all of their ingredients before coming to market, and even make sure their products are hypoallergenic.
Pro-Makeup
MOB Beauty really caters to pro-makeup artists with their packaging and formulations. It gives artists the option to customize their palettes with lots of colors to choose from. They even offer a pro- makeup artist program as well.
The chemist who is behind their formulations, Victor Casale, used to work for both MAC Cosmetics and Cover FX. He has formulated some of the most popular conventional makeup products on the market. He now wants to focus on only clean formulas, that perform just as well as other pro-makeup brands.
Refillable packaging
MOB Beauty sells all of their products separately from its packaging. You can refill and re-use their customizable palettes and compacts. They believe that you should only have to pay for packaging once. Reducing the consumption of packaging reduces overall waste.
Social Impact
Along with MOB Beauty’s amazing approach to sustainability, they also wanted to make sure they were creating a positive social impact. They have partnered with #HashtagLunchbag, an organization committed to feeding and supporting people in need. They help to support and financially contribute to this amazing cause.
My Custom palette
I was so excited to customize my own MOB Beauty palette. They sell their palettes in 6 square, 4 square, and single square formats. In each square, you can either fit 2 eye shadows, or 1 bronzer, highlight, or blush. This is a really fun idea since most of us only use a couple of shadows in any given palette.
I customized a 6 square palette, and inserting each product was very easy and straightforward. You can watch my YouTube video for a live example of how to insert the products into the palette.
I decided to choose their M37 bronzer, M31 blush, M50 highlighter, M41 cake liner, and eyeshadow shades M2, M1, M10, M46, and M65.
MOB Beauty palette Review
I was overall really impressed with every product in my palette. I loved the way my makeup turned out, and they are definitely high quality. The bronzer was a true matte bronzer with a beautiful warmth to it. I can’t wait to wear this shade in the summer.
The blush was also matte and had a dusty rose tone to it. I don’t have any blush shades quite like this, and I really loved the way it looked. The highlighter was very impressive. It gave me that WHAM BAM highlight that I love! All three products applied very smooth on the skin.
The eyeshadows were pretty awesome! They packed beautiful pigment and blended perfectly. I was impressed with both the matte and shimmery formulas. I’m really looking forward to trying more shades.
The cake liner was a really interesting product. It is intended to be applied wet. It took me a little while to play with it and get a perfect consistency. The first time around I had a little fall out, and my wing wasn’t as defined as I would have liked it to be.
However, the second time around I wet the brush a lot more before applying it. I noticed the liner had less fallout, and it was easier to get a defined wing. I think the product is really cool and innovative, but will probably take me a while to get used to it.
MOB Beauty Lipstick Review
The lipsticks come in a refill component. Then you purchase the actual lipstick packaging separately. It snaps right in, and voila you have a lipstick. I tried both their M25 lip balm and M58 lipstick.
The lip balm was surprisingly super pigmented. To me it really could have been an actual lipstick. It was very creamy and soft on the lips. The lipstick formula wasn’t very different from the balm. It had beautiful pigment, and also felt very creamy. Overall I loved both lip products.
Final Thoughts
Two words, I’M OBSESSED! From the innovative packaging to the pro formulations. Everything applied beautifully, and I feel so proud to support such an amazing brand. They really are leading the way when it comes to sustainability and reducing makeup waste in the beauty industry.
I’m looking forward to what’s to come next for this bad ass makeup brand. Shop all of MOB Beauty’s makeup products HERE.
