This easy paleo cereal is so deliciously satisfying and can be thrown together in less than 5 minutes! The freeze-dried strawberries add the perfect berry flavor and are non-negotiable. My husband and I love this combination for a healthy nighttime snack or an easy breakfast that takes you right back to those sugar-filled pre-paleo days. This recipe is both gluten-free, dairy-free, AIP, and Whole30 friendly.

Paleo Cereal

Oh, the nostalgia of a nice big bowl of my favorite sugary cereal. I remember when I was growing up, my brother and I would always beg my mom for those variety packs of cereal. Then we would fight over who got to eat the Cinnamon Toast Crunch or the Cocoa Puffs. When my husband and I started dating, it was our thing to get a late-night bowl of cereal and binge on our favorite shows.

Nowadays we are eating much healthier. Thankfully, I concocted this paleo cereal recipe that my husband and I can’t get enough of. We ate it every night for like a week straight and just about cried when the box was gone. We knew this HAD to be shared on the blog.

How To Make this Paleo Cereal

So, technically this isn’t like my traditional homemade recipes. I usually make EVERYTHING from scratch. This recipe does require a specific store-bought box of cereal. I use this coconut flake cereal from Thrive Market. It’s unsweetened and has only 3 simple ingredients. The cereal itself is nothing to brag about, but when prepared right it’s a paleo foodie’s dream.

If you are looking to eat healthier and don’t have a Thrive Market membership yet, then what are you waiting for? I’ve been a Thrive Market member for almost 2 years, and it’s so convenient and saves me so much money. You can get healthier pantry items, clean beauty products, non-toxic cleaning supplies, supplements, and pretty much anything you can think of. My delivery shows up on my doorstep within only a couple of days! You can test out your first 30 days risk-free, get 25% off your first order, and a FREE gift HERE.

paleo cereal with freeze-dried strawberries

After pouring the cereal into my bowl, I sprinkle some cinnamon, add freshly sliced bananas, and organic freeze-dried strawberries. Freeze-dried strawberries are a MUST! They add this little tang to the cereal that really takes it over the top. The combination reminds me of Special K Red Berries cereal. I always loved those little berries in there. I prefer to buy organic strawberries when possible since they are one of the dirty dozen when it comes to pesticide residues.

Then you can add your milk of choice. I prefer to use vanilla almond milk that I make myself with my almond cow. Best little invention EVER! You can finish it all off with an optional drizzle of honey. Totally optional, but highly recommended if not following a sugar-free diet like whole30.
